We are traveling in a Grand Design Reflection 337RLS 5th-wheel trailer, referred to as “The Condo” or “The Wols Roost”. And pulled by “Clyde” (as in Clydesdale) our Ram 3500 single rear wheel, 4-wheel drive, crew-cab, diesel truck.
Why the Wolery?
We took the domain name The Wolery from what Rob’s late wife Martha (Marty) named the house in Carlisle, Massachusetts. Marty’s favorite book was Winney the Pooh, in which the character Owl, writes a sign for his house.
The sign read, “The Wolery”, because while Owl was wise, Owl could not spell. She selected that name because there were 5 species of owls which lived in the forest around the house. She found a copy of one of the E. H. Shepard illustrations of Owl holding the sign, and it hung near the front door to the house.
Hence the house was called “The Wolery”, and the residents must be Wols!
